Student Orientation
Before you move on, let's talk about how the Student Orientation will work. Your Student Orientation has 8 short lessons. By completing these lessons, you will learn
- How to use D2L
- Strategies and tools to support your learning
- ACCESS policies and expectations
To prove that you have the skills and knowledge to succeed in your class, you will complete four small tasks in the Student Orientation.
- You will write your teacher an introductory email.
- You will introduce yourself to your classmates in a class discussion.
- You will submit a student information sheet to the dropbox.
- You will score 90% on a 10-question multiple-choice test about the information in the Student Orientation.
Not every student orientation lesson will end with a task. However, you should complete every student orientation lesson. Information from all lessons will be covered on the student orientation test. Note - the ACCESS Student Orientation Test will not be available until you complete both the Student Introduction Discussion AND the Student Information Dropbox.
Once you have scored a 90% on the ACCESS Student Orientation Test, the remaining content units in your class will become available to you.
You've made it almost all the way through your first Student Orientation lesson. Congratulations! Click on the Next button below to continue.
