Introduction
In the previous lesson we learned more about the world in which set designers operate and that world is the theater! A designer must match the needs of the show to the theater building itself. If the designer ignores the needs indicated by the director or the capabilities of the theater, he is making his job even more difficult. It would be like trying to put a square peg into a round hole!
In a previous lesson, you completed 2 items that will help you be successful in this lesson. You identified which type of theatre is most suited to Edna Ferber's Sun Dried. Then, you developed an idea for either a set design or costume design for the same show. In this lesson, you will take the next step and turn that idea into something concrete!
